Betty Ann (Hill) Davis, age 86, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 10:53 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Betty was born September 24, 1932, in Evansville, IN to Robert Ellis and Irene (Schineman) Hill. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1950 and attended a local Business College. Betty was a long-time member of Methodist Temple United Methodist Church. She worked for A&H Truck Lines and for oral surgeons, Whitehead, Pafflen, and Henry before becoming a world traveler who visited 5 continents, working as a Certified Travel Counselor. Betty retired from Haynie Travel in May of 1995. Betty loved playing Bridge. She was a Silver Life Master and Member of Evansville Duplicate Bridge Club. Betty was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and loved them very much.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Phelps; son, James Gray; daughter-in-law, Peggy Gray; grandchildren, Jonathan Hittner, Jason Brown (Stacy), Jennifer Shelton (Anthony), and James Phelps (Sarah); great grandchildren, Erika Curry (Adam), Tyler Brown, Dominique Shelton, Mckenna Shelton, and Kinsley Phelps; and sister, Roberta Farrand (Jim).

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Henry “Hank” Davis, who passed away in 1994; son, Stephen Gray; and sister and brother-in-law, Delois and Harold Fauquher.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Andy Payton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
