The Memory Portraits Video Department is producing Memory Videos on DVD or VHS. While we aren't the only company producing these, we feel that our quality and service will be so outstanding that you will be happy you dealt with Memory Portraits. You will also find that our price is less than most competitors.
A Memory Video is a wonderful tribute to the life of your loved one. Several themes are available using different scenic video clips. These enhance the 25-35 photos you furnish, creating memories of your loved one that will last forever.

Additional Information
In order to improve quality we retouch the photos at no additional cost. We'll produce the Memory Video with pleasing background music so you can show this video at visitation to assist the family. You will find that this video presentation helps the family and friends focus on a life lived instead of a death. While we can prepare this video on either a DVD or a videotape, we recommend that you use a DVD as it can be set to replay continuously and is a higher quality media.
We recommend that you send us 25 - 30 still photos that we will produce into a video that can be shown at funeral visitations. The finished video will run approximately 5 minutes in length. In order to get immediate shipment you will need to scan the photos and send them to us on our video order page. If you don't need immediate shipment you may send the photos to us by US mail, UPS or FedEx.
We can normally accept video orders as late as 2 p.m. Central time on weekdays and 10 a.m. on Saturdays for shipment that day. We encourage you to send even more than 35 photos, as more photos make a better presentation, but we may not be able to ship longer videos immediately.
Scanning & Ordering Instructions
Because of the large number of photos we request to make a video we ask you to place as many on your scanner bed as possible to reduce the number of individual files you send us. The scans should be saved as an 150 dpi .jpg file (with the compression quality at best) or 300 dpi if you can't change the compression quality. When we receive the scans here we will take care of image cropping and cleanup. Make certain that photos do not overlap.
Once you have your images scanned (for example: 5 scanner bed scans each containing 6 images), visit our Video Order Form to send us your order. Most of the order form is very easy to follow. However, here are a few tips to help you in this process:
Order Form Page 1:
"Number of Files to Upload": This field is where you specify the amount of separate files you wish to upload. As in the example in the paragraph above, you would input 5 to this field.
Order Form Page 2:
"Quotation": This is optional, but we recommend adding some kind of quote or personal text here. You may select from the choices we provide or you can send a more personal quote by typing it in the comments section of the order form. Doing so will increase the length of the video as well as personalize it much more. If you need some specific help scanning or placing your order, feel free to contact us for assistance.
