Wyota L. (Chism) Dickinson, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 12:47 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at home, surrounded by her family.
Wyota was born December 22, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to John and Ruth (Beck) Chism. She attended Central High School and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Wyota worked for several years for Ayr-Way and Weinbach’s, and then she went on to retire from Old National Bank. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising the Caribbean. Wyota also enjoyed visiting casinos, playing penny slots, riding motorcycles, and lying on the beach.
Wyota is survived by her sons, Rick Dickinson (Vicki) and Mike Dickinson (Jodi), both of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Wm Jason Dickinson (Wendy) of Mount Vernon, IN, Josh Dickinson, Nick Dickinson, Natalie Case (Brian), all of Evansville, IN, and Andrea Wood (Matt) of Newburgh, IN; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Gary Chism and Walter “Randy” Chism, both of Evansville; sisters, Tammy Manly of Evansville, IN, Krista Schmitt of Newburgh, IN; and caretaker and friend, Donetta Gasaway.
Wyota is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Wm Darrell Dickinson, Sr., who passed away February 19, 2020; son, Wm “Darrell” Dickinson, Jr.; and grandsons, Christopher Dickinson and Stephen Dickinson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Chaplain Randy Bechtel officiating.
