Aline Elizabeth (Stoltz) Voegeli, age 88, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:58 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021, in her childhood home of over 80 years.

Aline was born November 4, 1932, in Evansville, IN, to Carl G. and Lillian A. (Wiggers) Stoltz. She graduated from Bosse High School, and she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from Purdue University and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Aline was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. She taught as a preschool teacher before retiring in 1988. Aline enjoyed baking, being outdoors, tending to all her flowers, and helping people. She was a hostess with a beautiful art of hospitality. Aline worked with Girl Scouts when she was younger, was a member of Three Arts, worked with Meals on Wheels for over 20 years, and helped at the Good Samaritan Home. Aline especially loved her family and spending time with them.

Aline is survived by her daughters, Karen Sue Whisman, Barbara Gayle Irving (Russell), Dana Lynn Voegeli; son, Gregory Alan Voegeli, grandchildren, Brionna Thomas (Chris), Matthew Whisman (Kelsey) and Jason Voegeli (Emily Cessna); great grandchildren, Canon, Bennett, Leeland and Asher; sister-in-law, Joan Stoltz; and several nieces and nephews.

Aline is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert R. “Bob” Voegeli, who passed away August 16, 2020; parents, Carl and Lillian Stoltz; sister, Anita Bormann (Lee); brother, Pete Stoltz; brother-in-law, William J. Voegeli (Carol); former sister-in-law, Beverly; and parents in-law, William and Dorothy (McKee) Voegeli.
